Break day

I've really taken it easy today and I think it's the best thing I could have done. My body feels much more rested and ready to go tomorrow. I'm amazed that I'm not sore. I thought for sure that my back and/or legs would be bothering me today but the break today has helped with that. I do miss walking though, which is a good thing. I've been eating a little something ever few hours but no real meals (Boost, cheese and crackers). I'm not sure what I am going to do for dinner tonight. I'm not super hungry since I didn't walk but I know I need to eat something. I'm thinking of just having a small bowl of cereal and some fruit. I haven't had cereal in a while. That was my main meal before I started this journey. I often would have cereal two times a day. Not very nutritious (I don't think).

I'd like to go for a walk in the Garden tomorrow with David. It's always nice to walk over there. I need to check online for a trails map. We could always just walk from the main parking lot on the pavement too. I like walking on dirt/gravel trails though. I'm just not familiar with the trail system over there. Some research is in order.

Dinner sucks!

Dinner is done. It wasn't very healthy - hot dogs on a plain bagel. I have to do better for dinner. I just don't like cooking very much and now that meat doesn't appeal to me it's hard to figure out what I want to eat. I had a few raw baby carrots to get something healthy in there. Oh woe is me. I've got to get this figured out. Maybe I could do a second protein smoothie for dinner. That would be the easy thing to do. I could make David a dinner and have a smoothie for myself. I wish I didn't have to think about food. It frustrates me. Honestly, I wish I didn't have to worry about making dinner for David right now. I just don't like eating something that is heavy on my stomach this late in the day. I'm going to have to give this some thought.

I'm looking forward to my walk in the morning. I'm going to get out there earlier than I did today so it won't be quite so hot. I'm going to walk the Grandview trail (the easy one). I'm sure the views will be spectacular.

Planning ahead

I spent the rest of the evening coloring a Mandala and reading up on trails here in the Springs. I'm really excited to see so many trails here in town. I don't know that I'll be able to walk a different trail every day, but at least I've found some variety.

I was hungry tonight and ate a slice of Tillomook cheese. That took care of the craving. I realize that I don't have much here to eat that is healthy. I have:

1 banana
1 apple
8 slices of Tillomook cheese
raw baby carrots

I need to go back over my nutrition stuff that I got from Suzanne Mason. I get overwhelmed when I start thinking of food and my brain shuts down. I think that's why it was so easy to eat junk food and convenience food. So tomorrow I'm going to plan out menus and a shopping list from my nutrition paperwork. Then I'll do the shopping. If I get up early enough I can do it before I go over to Lisa's. If not, I'll do it after that.

I think I'm going to go get my binder and look up the nutrition information.
