Taking the day off

I decided to take the day off today. That means I:


* slept in
* didn't take Bayou to doggy daycare
* didn't go to a WW meeting
* listened to music all day
* ate all my meals and snacks
* didn't do any errands
* didn't do any chores around the house
* kept my feet propped up to rest my knee
* talked to a friend on the phone


I almost went to the noon WW meeting but decided that I didn't want to get out of my pajamas and since they would probably frown upon my pj's at the meeting I decided to stay home and veg out. It's a little after 1pm and I think I've had all the relaxing I can take for one day though. LOL I've been on the go so much lately that it feels weird to have a day off from the busyness of a regular day.


Tomorrow things will be back to "normal". I'll be up early to take Bayou to daycare and go to the 10am WW meeting. I'll also pick up a few things at the store. Since I probably won't get to dishes and laundry today, I'll do that Friday too so I won't have to do it over the weekend.


This afternoon I might bake some oatmeal raisin cookies just to make the house smell delicious. I'll send most of them to work with David tomorrow. He doesn't get Veteran's Day off. It will be a nice treat for him and the guys he works with on the maintenance crew.


Bayou has been pretty good today and slept on the couch most of the day. That meant I wasn't getting up and down, irritating my knee, to let her in and out. My knee is sore but it would be worse if Bayou was more active today. She's still tired from 3 days in a row of doggy daycare. She loves going there and plays all day long. It's been nice to be home with her today just chillin'.
