How does a day that has nothing on the calendar become the busiest day of the week? I don't know but it happened today. Bayou was really wanting to go to daycare this morning so I started my day out by bringing her there. When I got there one of they ladies came out and got Bayou (she knows my knee is hurting). I thought that was really nice. Great customer service.
I went to the 9:30am WW meeting. I got there around 9am because I decided to weigh in today and change my WI day to Tuesdays. The 5:30pm Wednesday meeting will be harder to get to in the winter but I can get there during the day on Tuesday for Karen's meeting. She greeted us at the door this morning. She thanked me for my letter and said that I am a wonderful writer. She asked for my permission to send the letter to their HQ in New York! Wow! I told her that she absolutely could do that. I want them to know how great Karen is and how wonderful the WW program is. I want them to know that leaders like Karen truly do effect people and that the program works because of that.
Today Karen did things differently at weigh in. Her topic was "Scale Surprise" so we weighed in but couldn't see what our weight was. She wanted us to think about the things that we did during the week that made us feel successful beside the weight loss. Argh! I really wanted to know if I'd made my 10 pound loss!! LOL We had to wait until during the meeting to check our weight tracker books. So Karen started the meeting by asking people what they did that was good this past week and handed out "Brave" stickers to everyone who participated. I told her that I was still getting in AP's even though my knee was hurt by shopping a little bit each day and doing some housework every day. I got a Bravo sticker for that.
I was so anxious to look at my WI but waited until Karen said it was okay to do that. I was shocked when I saw that I had lost 5.4 pounds this past week and 13.8 pounds total since 9/29/11. Wow! I was stunned. I had made my 10 pound loss mark and 3.8 pounds more! Woohoo!!
During the meeting Karen told everyone about the letter I gave to her and then said that she was very emotional but wanted me to tell everyone how much weight I'd lost. EVERYONE turned around and looked at me. Yikes! LOL I told them that I had lost 5.4 pounds and that it was because Karen has talked to me about making some different choices (like not drinking juice and drinking herbal tea instead). Everyone clapped for me and I got my 5+ star. I almost cried I was so excited. I have a picture of my weight tracker card that I'll show you in my next post.
Wow! 5.4 pounds in a week. And it's week # 5 too! What an awesome meeting. I also told everyone that I didn't want to go to meetings last week because I knew I had gained but I went anyway because I knew it was the best thing that I could do for myself. After the meeting a few people congratulated me on my weight loss. That felt really good.
~sigh~ What a great morning.
I went home after the meeting and took a nap. Then I went to my doctor's appointment. I couldn't wait to get on the scale at the doctor's office. Their scale (with my shoes on) still showed a 10 pound loss since two weeks ago! Woot! When Shellie came in she remarked on my weight loss. I was so excited to share my success with her. She also told me that she had talked to David and his A1C results came back from the lab and it was indeed 5.9 just like the finger poke test showed twice last week. I told her that David and I laughed about that because it's what she's wanted for so long but she couldn't believe it actually happened. Thank you WW for stunning my PA! lol
Shellie said that she thinks something is going on with my MCL and she is going to schedule an MRI ASAP. I haven't heard back on the MRI yet but hope that it will be soon. She gave me Lidoderm patches for pain and an RX for an anti-inflammatory for the pain. (continued in next post)
