Drum roll please!!!
I lost...
7.4 pounds!!!!!
I did stay for the meeting but will wait until Wednesday to celebrate my achievement. I know it's kind of silly but I want the room to be full of people when I celebrate. There were only about 10 people there today and no one applauded for others when they got their awards. I should have anyway but felt uncomfortable since no one else was clapping. I'm glad I made the choice to celebrate on Wednesday. But now I have to wait 5 days!! Yikes! lol Oh well.
Christine, today's speaker, talked about etools (that's the topic this week) and the whole online WW experience. There are still so many things on this site that I can use to help with the program. One thing that I want to start using is the recipe stuff. I need ideas so where not eating the same things over and over again. Salad is good but gets boring after a while. I'm sure there are lots of ideas though on how to improve on the basic salad. I do have some meats in the fridge and I'll look up some recipes to see what different things I might be able to do with them.
When David gets home I'll run to the store. We're out of eggs, milk, bread and other basics. I may go to King Soopers instead of Target because I hear that they have more WW food there. I want to at least try some things and have some "convenience' foods for those times that I just can't or don't want to make something. I did buy 2 boxes of WW bars today. It only cost me $1.05 because I had a credit voucher for the calculator that I returned. I got one box of cinnamon and one box of almond bars. I hope they taste good. They have WW oatmeal too. I may try that at some point but I still have oatmeal in the cupboard to use first.
I'm going to start making protein shakes too. I have the protein powder in the cupboard and frozen raspberries in the freezer. I just need some milk and I'll be set to go. I'll have to figure out point values on a smoothie first though. They might have a recipe for one online that already has the point values so I'll check there first. It might be a good option for lunch since I'm not used to making lunch for myself. I sent a nacho plate (the ingredients anyway) to work with David for his lunch today along with some fruit and yogurt. I do need to make myself some lunch though because it's almost 1:30pm.
I'm just so excited that I lost 7.4 pounds. I know that most people will say that it's the first week and it's probably mostly water weight loss but I'm going to celebrate the victory anyway. Now I just have to work hard at not sabotaging myself because I have a success. I can do this!!
