Slept Through The Night!!

Bayou was so tired last night that for the first time I let her sleep on the couch instead of having her come to bed with us or sleeping in her kennel. I knew she was too tired to tear anything up during the night. We all slept through the night. I didn't wake up at all until 4am. I got 6 full hours of sleep. That felt good. It's 4:40am and Bayou is still asleep even though I've been up out here working on my laptop with the light on. She is very tired from 4 straight days of daycare. I'm going to keep her home today with me. I think she will be okay as far as wanting to go in and out. I shouldn't have to be up all that much. I may try letting her sleep on the couch at night again tonight to see how she does. I'm just afraid of her tearing something up or peeing on the carpet/floor if I don't hear her if she gets up. I'm just glad we all slept through the night.

Karen is doing the 10am meeting today so I'm going to go. She's very positive and upbeat. Her daughter has quadruplets. I'd like to tell her sometime about the triplets.

I wasn't going to make a lunch for David (just didn't feel like doing it last night) but I just took 10 minutes and put one together for him. I put in lots of fruit, a yogurt, string cheese, WW Salsa Chips and 2 PB&J sandwiches. His daily PPV is higher than mine so he needs to eat more. I'd rather make his lunch than have him spend money on lunch at work and not get near enough to eat. I don't mind making his lunch. I just don't like doing it as I'm going to bed. I either need to do it earlier in the evening or get up early enough to make it. Anyway, it's done.

It's too early for me to have breakfast. I was thinking about making a protein shake this morning. I think I might do that since I have all the stuff I need to make one. I love protein shakes! I use:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 banana (I either eat or freeze the other half)
  • 1/4 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 - 1 scoop of protein powder
  • ice

It's pretty tasty once it's all blended together. I have a Kitchen Aid blender that does a great job making it into a shake. I could try putting some oil in it but I'm afraid I'd be able to taste it and I don't really like oil all that much. I'd rather get some of my oil from the Fish Oil capsule I'm taking. I am going to have to figure out ways to incorporate oil into my diet though. I don't get any at all these days.

In case you are interested and don't already know I have a challenge on the boards for those of us who can't work out but want to stay on plan. We're all finding different ways of getting our activity points in (housework, grocery shopping, one person counts walking (hopping) while on crutches). I've suggested that people find a chair exercise video or DVD or routine online if they can still do some upper body work. There are ways to get AP's (activity points) in without going to the gym or going hiking, in my case. I've been doing 10 minutes stints of housework along with the grocery shopping. It's all adding up. I've had consistent weight loss for 3 weeks even though I was only able to hike twice and workout at the Y twice. I'm off all exercise. No hiking, walking, pool or machines at the Y. All I'm allowed to do is what is necessary in the course of a day (laundry, dishes, straightening the house out, grocery shopping). It's still a lot and is adding up. I'm hoping that the weight loss continues in a downward direction once I can get back to working out. So if you need a daily challenge to stick with the WW plan while hurt or injured, think about joining the challenge. It's there for people who can't work out but still want to stick to the WW plan. Come and join us if you 'd like to.

I have to print out the WW schedule again and enlarge it on the printer so I can actually see it on the wall across from my chair. LOL It's so tiny that I can't see it and have to keep looking it up online. I'll work on that this morning.

I hope everyone is able to have a great day whether it's a productive day or a relaxing day. Both are ok
