Since going on WW David and I have been making dinners together most nights. He grills a meat and I make veggies and/or a salad. Tonight we had the pork chops and salad and it was really good. All the dinners we've been having have been super delicious. I think part of it too is that I'm not eating junk all the time and dulling my sense of taste. Plus I'm actually hungry. I'm not still full from the day before and just shoving food down my gullet. Tonight I feel more full eating the salad than I have eating other things. That's probably good to know. I still have 11 points left so I think I'll have some ice cream for dessert tonight. That's once I stop feeling full. I'm a bit more than satisfied tonight but not stuffed.
Tomorrow is grocery shopping day so I need to plan meals tonight. I can use the tracker and recipe builder to see what points meals will be. I'll do an inventory tonight and see what I need to add to make meals for the week. It's always good to do a fridge and pantry inventory before shopping. I'm always surprised at how much food is left over every week. Another thing is that not much is going to waste these days. I was throwing out a lot of food before WW but I'm not throwing away anything these days.
Tomorrow I have an 8:30am appointment with Dr. Fouss (my psychiatrist) and then I'll come home and listen to the Colorado Public Radio "Colorado Matters" show to see how much of my interview gets in there. It's on cpr.org online at 10am and 7pm. Then I think it will be on there archived for streaming. I'm excited but nervous to listen. If you listen let me know what you think of the show, not just me.
Now I'm feeling more satisfied than full so that's good.
I think I've decided to go to the Sunday morning and Wednesday night WW meetings. On bad weather days I'll just adjust the schedule. I like those two meetings the best and feel the most comfortable at them. I'm sure at some point just going to one meeting will be enough but for right now I feel like going to at least two meetings will be good for me. I need the support, motivation and encouragement that I get at the meetings. I forgot to mention that last night I did talk to the lady next to me. I didn't get her name though. Hopefully I'll see her again. I didn't see Beverly last night either. I do want to get to know people. When I was talking to Karen at the Y today she was encouraging me to join the treadmill class for it's social value too. She said the people in the class get to be friends. I'd like to get to know more people.
The sun is setting and it's getting cooler. It was pretty warm today but as soon as the sun goes down it gets cool. It's supposed to be in the 80's on Saturday. A typical Colorado autumn day. It'll probably snow soon then. lol
