On the way back from my appointment with Marianne, I stopped at the trail that's in the Green Crest neighborhood (on Brenner off Austin Bluffs). It's part of the Palmer Park area. It looks like a nice trail. I'm trying to dig up some information on it to see how hilly it is and what the distance is. I'm going to walk over there tomorrow morning. Even if it's a long loop I can just go out and back. I printed out the map of Palmer Park but still can't figure out how to get to the trails. Duh! I like the idea of walking some place new. It keeps things interesting.
There is an open area on the west side of town, Red Rocks. I might try that one day too. I think it's a loop too. I'm also going to look for a map for that trail. I think I need to be pushing myself a bit more. I need to feel like I've walked/hiked. I've barely been breaking a sweat on the walks I've been on so far. My ultimate goal still is Waldo Canyon. I really look forward to the day I can hike that trail again.
