Palmer Park - Mesa Trail


Lisa showed me where some of the trailheads are located in Palmer Park. We went on a short walk but it was a good walk for me. There are lots of trails up there so I could do something new every day. Now the map I have will make more sense to me (at least that's my hope). The view from up there is spectacular. Forgot to take some pictures of it though. Did get a nice one of the trails sign. After our walk we went back to Lisa's and had a cup of tea. My new favorite is Bengal Spice which is like a light chai tea. It's delicious. Thanks for everything, Lisa.

I was going to stop at the store on the way home but I didn't have a list. I'm not going to the store without a list. That can only lead to bad things. So I'll make my list here in a few minutes and then head out to the store.

Walking trails is so much more fun than just walking to the mailbox. I'm really enjoying myself. I know I could push a little harder though. Barely broke a sweat this morning. That's good. It means that I'm making progress. I need to find that thing to hold a bottle of water. I like having water when I'm out walking. It has to be somewhere in the garage. I'll look for that today.

My plan for eating is to have protein fruit smoothies for breakfast, Boost or Ensure for lunch and then something healthy for dinner. I'm not really into meats anymore so I'll have to get my protein from other sources. Maybe stir frys would make the meat palatable. I love making chicken stir fry with broccolli. So I need to make a list of the things I need for meals and snacks. I'm using the nutrition stuff Suzanne gave me to come up with some ideas.

Okay, on to making the shopping list.
