I just cut up some bananas and put them in the freezer so making protein smoothies will be even easier. I'm going to try to have a protein smoothie every day. I forgot to get some more Boost when I was at Target. I do have one left for tomorrow but I'll need to get more for the rest of the week. Eating healthier and walking should make a difference. I look forward to the time that I can actually see the weight loss.
Homemade smoothies are great! Frozen bananas will make them thicker ... you may not even feel the need to use yogurt! (And be careful of too much Boost, which is high in sugar and moderately high in fat.)
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying the protein smoothies. The frozen banana did make it thicker. There is something missing though from the taste of the smoothie and it may be the yogurt. I'll try one with the yogurt and see. Boost is like my fallback meal. When I'm too overwhelmed with food I can have a Boost and I am overwhelmed right now. I didn't realize it was high in sugar and fat though. Thanks for letting me know that.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. Yogurt has that tangy flavor that would add some zip to it. We often blend up a frozen banana, milk and a shot of chocolate syrup. That's great as well. :)
